Job Introduction

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor within the Occupational Health team based at Pegasus Business Park, Castle Donington. 

Main Responsibilities

Contribute to the management of attendance and rehabilitation by managing a caseload within an identified business area.

Conduct a full range of health surveillance and fitness to work

Use professional judgement and discretion to interpret health surveillance results

Work proactively with the Occupational Health manager in supporting business managers in promoting health and well-being at work

Collection, recording and interpreting occupational health data

Knowledge of and be ability to interpret health and safety legislation pertaining to health protection and surveillance

An understanding of business needs and culture to implement appropriate health protection measures

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant must demonstrate the potential to undertake a full range of health surveillance and fitness to work issues, will ideally have 2 years’ experience in occupational health medicine, must be a registered nurse on Part 1 of the Nursing Midwifery Council register and hold or be working towards a recordable Occupational Health Nurse qualification with the National Medical Council.

Good communication skills will be required, as you will need to liaise with and advise managers,, Employee Relations colleagues and employees and other external medical professionals for support in more complex occupational health issues.  A full driving licence is essential and a Company vehicle will be available. 

The starting salary will be £33,411 until the initial training period is successfully completed.
