Job Introduction

The Information Centre & IIS Team are responsible for Management Information / Key Performance Indicators,  Ofgems  Customer Guaranteed Standards, Complaint reporting  and Ofgems Information and Incentive Scheme annual audit.

The Information Centre Analyst will assist the Information Centre Manager in preparation of all corporate and business management reports, ensuring the MI software applications meet corporate and business requirements.   You will be required to prepare information for external parties such as the Customer Panel and licence condition reporting for Ofgem. You will also be required to prepare reports and presentations for use at Board/Director level, handle complex ad hoc data requirements, data extraction and programming.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Information Centre Manager to ensure delivery of all internal management performance reports.
  • Assist the Information Centre Manager to ensure external reporting requirements associated with the PES licence are met.
  • Develop mechanisms for consistent reporting of performance of Company goals at Company and Regional level.
  • Assist the Information Centre Manager to ensure that the information data systems matches business needs.
  • System administrator role as port of call for all system user issues, identifying and resolving problems for key systems.
  • Design and provision of complex data extraction reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations at Board, Director and Direct Report level.
  • Monitoring of externally reported information such as Guaranteed and Overall Standards and customer complaints.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a reliable, well organised individual who can work well in a small team, representing the company positively at all times.

You should be educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent and be numerically and analytically excellent. A minimum of 3 years experience within functional activity, preferably with at least two years experience of numeracy/statistical data extraction/presentation.  You must a have a good understanding of mainframe and personal computing tools and have a comprehensive understanding of Western Power Distributions organisation and evolution.
