Job Introduction

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary part time (20 hours p/w)  Finance Assistant working within the Management Accounting Team for a period of 11 months to be worked as follows:

Monday and Tuesday 8.00am to 4.00pm - (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Wednesday 8.00am to 1.00pm

This is an outstanding opportunity to undertake a role that aims to deliver a professional service both internally and externally. 

 

Main Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the capital project closure process
  • Preparing and posting journals
  • Identifying, understanding and advising on project budget variances
  • Reviewing budge and coding allocations
  • Analysing cost allocations against ledger codes
  • Providing support to the Financial Services Officers

 

 

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have good numeracy and computer skills including strong Excel capability, sound communication skills and be confident in dealing with other internal and external contacts including non-financial colleagues.

A pro-active approach, the ability to manage your own workload and working to tight deadlines is essential as well as the confidence and ability to challenge when required.

As you may be required to travel to other offices a full driving licence is essential.
